The Resource guide I am building intends to focus on the practical application of newly introduced products, services and applications from the perspective of their real benefits as practical reasonable solutions to recognized needs and pressing problems and realistic challenges in need of resolution and consideration. This may be useful where there exists a multitude of choices and no single clear direction of approach. Such has been the case for me in determining which CMS I would utilize to develop this site.
I could have used informed pointers to the learnings of experienced users throughout the solution/decision process without having to personally do and go through in-depth evaluations which in effect seriously complicated the process as I became more aware of what’s out there. Some would see this as the learning curve and the price one pays, however please spare me more things to need to learn just to get started. I am now inundated with the need to learn SEO, CSS, PHP, Ajax and who knows what next. This can retard developing the actual work and focus.
