I have not only noticed but have been a victim of lax blogging. It happens every so often when we tire of our focus or things get so convoluted to make any sense of the state of those things. Often it can just be the onset of a period of laziness.
When readers don’t coment or daily viewer stats go down we (the bloggers) begin to wonder if it is worth the time we put in it. We test this theory by withdrawing and holding back hoping that it will be noticed and bring response.
Sometimes the period of reflection is longer. At this point many give up and give in opting to call a halt to our blogging efforts or to change focus in an attempt to regain our own and readers interest and involvement.
A period of reflection is not a bad thing it often leads to a renewed focus, a different approach, or dramatic drastic change. It is the bloggers “dark night of the soul”
The truly dedicated blogger reaches deep down into their well of passion, puts on their game face and gets back in the ring ready for the next round.
