Apple’s recent victory aginst Samsung will have lasting effects on innovation for years to come. In one sense it is assurance to designers that if they comeup with something truly unique they can fight off imiy=tators looking to beat them to the game and eat their lunch. It also proves to manufacturers that if they play leapfrog and “borrow” the designs and fabrications of others that there can be consequences and repercussions.
