My personal choice is clearly Bento from Filemaker. With Bento I can construct my very own CRM/work environment by cobbling together a set of powerful free business templates from among the thousands available for Bento. My only problem is that too often I forget to utilize them as often as I should, but then that’s on me.
Another app that makes my list is Catch. I started taking notes with MacJournal and Evernote but they soon became somewhat faulty and unreliable. Always searching for options I stumbled upon Catch and have not looked back since.
