It is not that most users don’t care about security, it is that they don’t really know whatthey can do to protect themselves. We get loud alerts like with DNS Changer that the sky is falling and after working ourselves up into a frenzy trying to get right, nothing happens and we return a stance of apathy. It seems that everyday we hear of some new larcenous hack or vicious piece of malware that aims to kill our computers and our productivity.
it also seems no one agency or otherwise is tasked with doing anything to stop these criminals and thieves looking to exploit our general lack of security awareness or advanced skills. This is the digitally connected world we now live and exist in and it does not seem to be getting any better.
