  1. WWDC 2012 was a well-executed event. With everybody and his brother turning out to learn from, burn or trump Apple in the multiple market spaces it dominates. This time many companies turned out to put some distance between Apple and the many also-ran mobile OS platforms, and mobile devices like ultrabooks/laptops. From this point developers will base their future decisions on what they learned at WWDC 2012. Elsewhere competitors continue to demonstrate their eagerness to steal Apple’s thunder any way they can honorable or not.
