Attacking iPad on Price, Performance. etc.

There are companies hat are siding with users that think that the iPad is too expensive. They are taking the tack of offering lower priced tablets in hopes that this strategy can succeed n capturing a share of the enormous market opportunity.

Not all are choosing to compete simply on lower prices. Other companies are offering a slew of alternatives including: performance enhancements, free apps and external options the iPad is lacking. With the next generation iPad 3 months away they see this as an open window in time.
Tablet Options:
  1. Kindle Fire $199
  2. Archos 28 $91
  3. Archos 43 $178
  4. Imports from China $$$

Get ready for the CES 2012 Onslaught!

With CES only a few short days away I anticipate that we will see mobility market corporate positioning like never before.

It will come in a slew of new product launches, patent suit news,  good deal announcements, OS/Device upgrades, and yes countless lies and rumors all mostly intended to capture our interest and purchase decisions.

Some will be smoke and mirror announcements that will never see the light of day. Other announcements may be intended to simply slow up or confuse the competition.

As diligent consumers we all need to do our homework and closely follow developments.
