The last CES saw a number of fanciful smartphones promised. The LG Revolution was among the most interesting of the batch.
An Verizon 4G LTE handset, the Revolution was tempting and is LG’s first shot at Verizon’s LTE network were we’ve already seen the HTC Thunderbolt and the Optimus 2X.
Verizon and LG are banking on heavy TV advertising to drive sales and interest. It will increase brand awareness and these days that means a heck of alot.
LG Revolution Features:
- Runs Android 2.2
- 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display
- Single core processor
- 5 megapixel digital cam with HD video capture and playback
- DLNA wireless
- HDMI port
- DivX support
- Bluetooth 3.0 and WiFi.
- Front facing camera for Video call support
- Doubles as 4G mobile hotspot for up to 8 WiFi devices
As this is LG’s first I will wait to get one in my hand before co-signing or panning it. So far most other gadget sites seem to rate it fairly high, except to say that it would be much better running a higher rev of Android.
