This may be biting the hand that feeds me but…the Media seems to have gotten into the business of operating much like a lynch mob these days… In times of newer advanced media twe are no longer content to merely cover the news we now are into making or influencing news and getting attention by declaring outrageous things as if they are facts:
- “Lebron chokes”
- “Apple faltering”
- “Microsoft’s is Over”
- “Wal-Mart is dying or dead”
- “PC’s are dead”
How did we get here? Where did accuracy and accountability in the media go? There used to be ethical guidelines we at least pretended guided us. Now the game has degenerated into crass sensationalism effecting outcomes and remaking news.
With al the Obama Bashing at this cruial juncture, Is it any wonder that the public no longer trusts nor relies on the once reliable news media? Indeed, why should we? How can we? They are failing us to an extent that was unimaginable years ago. We long for the now past news pros and reporters that in many cases were run out of their jobs and gave up on the industry. We are left with the hacks that are willing to make up the news or manufacturer headlines.
