A Drumset in your pants?

If you are a drummer, and I am! After a lifetime of lugging around a whole room full of drum gear, cymbals and stands and always being to last member of the band to wrap up, it is still difficult to do the work. Sure there are portable half-shell collapsible options and electronic drum pads and V-kits, but they still are complex and usually require a whole sound system. There may finally be a solution worth checking out. You can outfit yourself with a pair of drum-jeans by A student from the Hymers College in West Hull, UK named Aseem Mishra. Aseem built a drum kit in a pair of jeans, and won a Young Engineer of the Year Award. He used eight sensors for different sections of a drum kit and fit them into jeans, plugged them into an external speaker or headset and can now play them anywhere. This has been the hambone dream of serious drummers since the advent of MIDI-kits and wearable computing.
